Jonas Major

The project, a collaboration with Jonas Gunerius Larsen, takes a minimalist approach to maximizing the experience of the exterior of a hillside home in Arendal. Although the extension is small in size, the provided view is truly expansive. The extension aims to fully exploit the panoramic potential of the site. The main view from the house, including the sunset, is at an angle on the facade, and thus liberating the buildings corners of their usual load bearing responsibility became important to fully unleash the experience of landscape.
